Don Woolery, The Face Behind The Lens.

I began my photography journey as many parents have before me, trying to get good photographs of their children playing a sport. In my case it was the fast action and difficult lighting of All-Star Cheer.

Soon I began to photograph additional sports and quickly learned that in order to successfully photograph a sport you must know the sport, know what to expect and anticipate the action. I cherish the interactions between an athlete and the photographer. There is no better feeling when a player makes an amazing play then looks around and asks me if I "Got that", "Yeah, I got it!"

My growth into portrait photography began with my three daughters. After capturing and sharing those special moments I was often asked by friends to photograph their special moments. As I progressed further into portrait photography I realized I did not want to take the cookie cutter approach. I wanted each session to be unique and based upon the subject, their interests, their personality.

Always learning and trying new techniques is crucial in bringing joy to your customers, but I can honestly say I would not be where I am today without the support of friends and family and the mentoring from a certain photographer and close family friend. Thanks Dave.
